Oikocredit manages one of the world’s largest sources of private capital for development finance. The financial resources come from investments by individuals, organizations and churches. We pay our shareholders a modest annual dividend. Oikocredit finances and invests in microfinance institutions, co-operatives and small and medium enterprises in developing countries, aimed at positive social impact.

Yet, Oikocredit is more than an investment institution. We are movement for social change.

Through our members and our Support Associations in Canada and around the world, we are helping to change the conversation about development. We are helping to introduce the idea that international development is not charity bestowed by the wealthy. It is solidarity between investors and borrowers. In our view, investment can help to transform lives in the developing world.

We invite you to join us as an investor or as a supporter to help change the conversation about investment and development.
